Ambush Alley Night

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Tonight there were two games running. One was in Derkaderkastan where I played as one of the insurgent players vs. some marines moving through the town. We started off well taking out a Hummer and immobilizing the marine AAVP. Then it took a turn for the worse for the fedayeen and the advancing marines decimated one group, then a special attack from above took out another. From then on, it was all Marines.
The second game going simultaneously was in Neu Floppenhosen, a Force on Force battle in the European theater. This was the U.S. 10th mountain vs. Russian Spetznaz. The Spetznaz were cut down to a man. Ouch.
All in all the new building neutralizing rules worked well and kept the games from bogging down. I liked it!

Friday Night Gaming

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

We had an RPG game of Dread scheduled, see the pics of that! And we also had several other gamers show up to use our open gaming area!! Jim Roots and his posse showed to play Ambush Alley and try some new rules changes he may try to incorporate. Yes, he is now one of the game developers for Ambush Alley Games! Then a father and son dropped in to play a game of Warmachine. And a couple local kids played some magic. All in all, it was a busy gaming area all night!

Ambush Valley

Using the Ambush Alley rules, this varient is specifically designed for the Vietnam War! This is the game we played for Miniatures Wargame Night on Friday night. Jim Roots brought his new warboard and Skip Petersen provided some of his old Vietnam troops miniatures. Great paint jobs, by the way. In the end, the U.S. troops could not get it together and were stopped before securing the village.
